| Anybody know of some GOOD movies to watch?
Recently Watched Movies:
Jackie Brown - WAY better then I remember it, great Tarantino Film Jimmy and Judy - Best/Trippiest Love Story I can think of atm Four Rooms - Pretty bad, not entirely a Tarantino film, so it fell short The Comedians of Comedy - Great Documentary George Carlin: Life is Worth Losing - One of his better later routines Terminator 4 - Completely makes up for 3 and great for any special effects/action junkie

| DUDE, I always forget about that movie, I love that flick.
I guess it's not "trippier" then Eternal Sunshine, but it's got a style about it and a story you don't expect.
And Edward Furlong plays Jimmy. (Terminator 2, American History X, etc.)
It got bad reviews, but I don't know, I thought it was great. Let's just say it's pretty raw for a love story.

| Yeah, Eternal Sunshine was out of this world. Jim Carrey's best role, IMO. The other flick sounds good though, I'll have to check it out. | |

| Star Trek - Was good and way better/different than the old Star Trek movies X-men 4 Wolverine - Was way better than the critics gave credit, close to best in series imo Push - Was good, a little lacking on the explanations of the cannon but alright overall Fanboys - Very funny definitely worth the watch The Spirit - Fucking Aweful Dragonball Evolution - Way to cartoony, like the lat 90's batman films The Edge - Just rewatched, was really good Hellride - Great Taratino flick Brick - Super cool detective film noir but everyone is in high school and there is still killing. Redbelt - Kickass film Gross Pointe Blank - Just rewatched, one of Cusack's best films Mr. Brooks - Great suspense and story surprisingly really good.
As for trippy movies along the lines of Eternal Sunshine watch The Science of Sleep.

| I'm sorry, but dude, I've come to realize we have pretty different taste in movies. There is a lot we have in common, but you do end up watching and liking a bunch of movies I have either seen and hated or just have zero desire to see at all.
The Science of Sleep - was gay. Push - fuckin' failed hard. Hellride - was alright, but not exactly a Tarantino film, as in he was going for "B Movie". Grindhouse was cool because they did it that one time, it was way over the top, and you knew what you were in for, but I don't like to watch "B Movies". I know you and your roomies do, I honestly don't know how you fuckin' stand that shit, I don't enjoy watching crap for the sake of watching crap. Mr. Brooks - was no es bueno imo. (I'm just not really into these movies) The Spirit - looked like shit from the start, very Sin City. (300 came out right because it had a great director) Redbelt - was alright, I like the concept of the movie more then I like the movie. Like it could have been done better with a higher budget. Gross Pointe Blank - I'm not really a fan of John Cusack at all. Dragonball Evolution - You knew it was gonna be bad. Fanboys - This is the best movie on this list that I've seen.
These are the only movies I'm considering:
X-Men 4 Star Trek | |

| I was super baked, and my ex-roommate told me it was like eternal sunshine. From what I remember it was trippy as fuck, other than that it had nothing really going for it.
As for the B movies thing. It just fun to make fun of these movies while baked. Its not that the movie is enjoyable, its the fun we have at its expense.

| The Science of Sleep was nothing like Eternal Sunshine, they don't even compare.
And when I get baked, I tend to become hyper critical of shit that is bad. And I don't find it enjoyable at all to watch really bad movies while high, I'd rather watch a really good movie and have it enhanced.
I just don't understand the joy you can possibly find in those movies. Maybe funny the first time goin', "omg, this is so bad, why the fuck did they make this? lol" But that wares thin fast. The realization quickly sets in that you are wasting time and weed on shitty ass movies. I don't even like to dignify those fucks with any credit for making fucked up movies by viewing their crap. A cowboy in the desert with a naked little boy and some ruined town and whatever the fuck, it's just stupid and unnecessary, a story that didn't need to be told. I mean, they have Comedies for a reason, that shit was made to be funny.
But to each their own. | |

| Dude, you know that El Topo peaked your curiosity. There is a movie whose trippiness knows no bounds. You will never find a movie more weird and disturbingly out of this world than El Topo. lol | |

| It didn't at all. I already hate Westerns and right off the bad with Child Nudity. Nah, not really my thing. And the name "El Topo" already gave me the impression it was made by or has to do with something Mexican. I mean HOW FUCKING BAD can you get? lol
I like trippy movies as much as the next stoner, but as long as they are GOOD. I don't find shit like that fun to watch at all.
And if you want to see "WRONG", watch these:
Koroshiya ichi ("Ichi the Killer" in America) Salo aka The 120 Days of Sodom (According to a list I found because I couldn't remember the name of this one right away, this movie is #3 on a list of most disturbing movies, where as "El Topo" was #8 )
EDIT: Drake came up with a good name for these movies, they aren't "B Movies", more like "D Movies".

| Hummm Movies? I watch alot of those so here are some of my favorites.
Brick: As Paradox said it was very good, good twists throughout the plot. The Taking of Pelhem 123: Its was fucking epic, DWash and John were superb together. We Own the Night: Kinda old, Good movie was really underrated and unwatched for some reason. Mob/Cop Story brothers revenge kinda stuff. Ill come back and edit more in since I have work right now.

| We Own the Night is kinda of like that retarded kid everyone had in their elementary school. It has a good heart but is a little slow, and frankly.....its still retarded. The plot was good but the movie was badly paced and too slow. | |

| Meh, Eva Mendes is hot as fuck which made up for some of its slowness, but slow movies never really bothered me as long as the story wasn't shit. | |
