Anyone have some cool knowledge of science? Or just strange phenomena (i.e. orbs, etc lol). Pictures would be cool.

I wish to start a talk about, What the Bleep Do We Know?

I know that Shane and his Dad have seen it and I am pretty sure I know their feelings toward it. We talked about it a while ago. I have it on my computer at home and I have seen it about 6 times. It is pretty interesting, probably a lot more interesting to me since the movie was filmed in Portland, Oregon. What are the opinions on Quantum Theory, Nuerology, Chakra's and shit like that?

Have you ever seen the movie "The Great Global Warming Swindle"?

Strange phenomena huh? I don't really know any except me being born....But besides that I remember a group of friends and I walked at a park near by my old apartment and took some pictures and found some weird things with our pictures. But Im begining to lean toward that it was some dust that got picked up with the shot... Oh and that one time with this bottle and all of a sudden fire! and i saw like two shadows. lol But I don't really know cool stuff this will be an intresting thread.

My dad was actually just telling me about how some people he knows were telling him that their house is haunted.

Hauntings:

1. They say every time you use this certain shower you will see a shadowy figure move past the glass door to the shower.

2. Sometimes at night you can hear foot steps on the wooden floors.

3. A door that was completely shut and all windows were closed (no drafts) was opened and then closed by an invisible force.

4. A guest once woke up to what seemed like someone breathing heavily on them but nobody else was in the room.

5. When going into the hall to investigate the ghost steps, the cat can often be found rather frightened and under dressers and cabinets.

My dad wants to go stay the night and experience these occurrences first hand to see if he can either prove or disprove these.

Thoughts?

Wheres the location? I would like to do that too but im sure I would be scared shitless.. But you know how I still like to try things out. But thats pretty scary dude.

If your dad is going to go, I will be willing to go after i come home from Vietnam. It sounds very intresting.

Well since these occurences can only really be clarified on an individual basis (use of electronic equipment, cameras, recorders, various digital thermometers can be manipulated to give positive readings). I would go there sure, maybe check out places that would offer a chilling feel. I think your dad is best for this test since his view is the least biast of many other people that I know. But maybe check the history of the house at the local library.. Maybe they have something online?

Well we would just need thee location or the residents who used to live there. Im sure whoever lived there before filed some complainets. I wanna do a little research on this place.

well it doesn't rely on complaints but rather deaths that were announced it past newspapers and shit like that... you want to look out for that and suicides.. maybe the house used to be a morgue, or a funeral house, hospital, insane asylum.... There are quite a few posssibilities for the older time periods.

Well if you can find some residents maybe they might know some of the past history with why the house was built there. They might know who has died and other stuff. Thats what I was kinda wondering. But if it were built over an insane asylum man...

well, not necessarily built, but was. It coulda been a converted insane asylum from the 1800's back when they used to cut into criminals heads to examine the brain matter picking ways of finding out physical features of the brain that designate a criminal (or maybe I should say a murder).. My great uncles house (Don), was a hospital from the 1800's, he is in colorado, and this place has people buried in the backyard and the house is fuckin creepy but really nice none the less. It is 4 stories, and the basement is like a fucking maze. I remember when I was younger I used to try to go through the whole basement, I couldn't do it without gettin creeped out.

Dude, I would curl up into a ball and cry if i were in the basement alone.

Lol Yeah Ill post some pictures. And Vietnam isn't that bad. Nha Tran was my favorite place its like a small Huntington Beach. But with alot more boats...

People tend to, unfortunately, confuse the horse shit that was in What the Bleep with the facts regarding quantum mechanics. Quantum mechanics is pretty solid, but a bunch of quacks and whackjobs take it into their own hands to make shit up and call it quantum mechanics which causes some problems.

Well I've heard your dad call the whole of Quantum physics bullshit which made me pretty sad to know he thinks that.

He doesn't think that, he thinks the way it was depicted in that movie is bullshit. It isn't like he took much time to study Quantum Physics, and really, who the fuck would? There is really no point unless you have a vast knowledge of the concept and how to utilize in some beneficial way. Or you can just be some douche with no life and or friends that has nothing better to do.
