Watchmen

I saw it, thought it was amazing.

Then I looked at all the reviews and people are bashing the hell out of it.

My only conclusion is that if you didn't like it, chances are you are mentally retarded and don't have a great concept of the World and Humanity. All I really have to say and am gonna say till more of you check it out.

Majority of the people bashing this movie are just retarded. 99% of the people saing these things are people who haven't read the Watchmen comic. People just think this is supposed to be a super hero movie.

I myself haven't seen it, I will soon though. Until then.

I haven't seen the movie, but this has always rung true for me since I read the first page of the comic.

i talked to ghostfox in depth about this, and although i agree (now) that the movie is indeed good, there were aspects of it i feel should have been shortened or omitted. one such is they could have trimmed ALOT of movie time by taking out the relationship with silk specter 2 and nite owl, their relationship did not contribute to the plot at all and took valuable storytime away from Rorschach. and the sex scenes were stupid... most of the people in the theatre were laughing when they say it.

also COCKTOR WANGHATTAN DOES NOT BELIEVE IN CLOTHES! want to see his blue dong? we thought so!

As much as I loved the movie, Mr.E is correct. But I assure that it's win over shadows the fail. By a lot.

If you take out there relationship though, then she would be more likely return to Dr. Manhattan and have less reason to leave him. This would cause Dr. Manhattan to stay on the Earth or return to it sooner and Ozymandias's plan would have been ruined. Keep in mind I haven't seen the movie yet, I'm just basing it on the plot of the novel.

Not our point. We didn't say remove it. We meant that they show of lot of just them and that in itself has no real bearing on the story as a whole.

It has a huge bearing on the story -- the bearing Blake just described. If they kept it all off-screen it would've felt too contrived.

Wrong. Paradox is talking about removing it entirely. I didn't say that, I said it show's too much of it and a lot of it has nothing to do with anything. Toooo much character building on rather unimportant characters.

Night Owl has a ship.
Silk Spectre II proves that miracles exist.

If I were still in CA I'd let you borrow that Watchmen and Philosophy book I got. It's fucking amazing.

Trust me when I say everything in the movie is in there for a reason. Every detail, and nothing should have been trimmed imo.
